The North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) is the official youth arm of the Reform Movement.  TBS Youth is proud to launch our chapter (to be named soon) and offer programs of our own, and connect with temple youth from all across Phoenix and our state.

WESTY (West Valley Temple Youth)
Now our youth groups will take on new names.  The breakdown is as follows:

Grades 1-5 will be part of SHORASHIM (in Hebrew it means roots)
Grades 6-8 will be part of Jr. NFTY
High School Students will be NFTY

...wait for it, wait for it!

Our NFTY chapter (WESTY) is part of a larger region called NFTY Southwest.  Our region includes all of Arizona, Las Vegas, New Mexico and western Texas.
For more information on NFTY and our region visit www.nfty.org/sw

We are looking for motivated high school students, or 8th graders going into high school next year, to help plan programs and represent our chapter at regional events.  Send a note on to Sharon if you are interested.

Temple Beth Shalom Religious School is looking for teen leaders for our Madrichim (counselors in Hebrew) program.  A Madrich will help on Sundays in the religious school. Teen participants will gain skills in programming, leadership and peer counseling.  Space is limited. Open for all teens post bar/bat mitzvah. If interested contact Sharon Kaplan, Youth Coordinator for application.

TO4TO – Time Out 4 Tikkun Olam (Repair the world)

TO4TO is a new initiative driven by the Temple Beth Shalom Youth Group as our

way of making the world around us a better place, one mitzvah at a time. These

short events will take place after religious school on selected Sundays. Most

events will take no longer than 30 minutes and include activities such as collection

drives, baking, arts and crafts and more! All of our efforts will go towards

improving our temple community and our west valley community, helping those

in need.
